Tribute to a Music Legend: King Rokan Adekola (Oluaye of Atlanta Georgia)

It is with a heavy heart that I, Prince Olasunkanmi Adebayo, pay tribute to my dear friend and music icon, King Rokan Adekola, who passed away on January 12, 2025.

King Rokan, as I fondly call him, was more than just a musician - he was a master of his craft, a passionate artist who poured his heart and soul into every performance. His music was a reflection of his soul, a testament to the power of art to transcend borders and touch hearts.

As the Oluaye of Atlanta Georgia, King Rokan was a cultural ambassador, bridging the gap between Nigeria and the diaspora through his music. His efforts as the Pathfinder who bulldozed the Juju Music path in Atlanta Georgia will never be forgotten. His contributions to the Juju music genre are immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations of musicians to come.

I will deeply miss King Rokan's infectious laughter, his wise counsel, and his unwavering passion for life and music. He was a true friend, a brother, and a confidant.
