LATE LARA OLUBO

IN LOVING MEMORY OF OMOLARA OLUBO.

Today, we gather our hearts and thoughts to pay tribute to an extraordinary soul, Omolara Olubo, whose passion for creativity and music resonated with the divine and touched the lives of many. Hailing from the esteemed Olubo Dynasty in Akure, Ondo State, Omolara was not only a beacon of light within her lineage but also a radiant star in the world of Christian gospel music.

Lara, I still find it hard to believe that you have left us without any notifications. Even though you left as a well accomplished woman of substance, but still a baby girl to the entire families. My “lill’ Sister”, it took me well over 24 hours to pull myself together to pay you this last respect. I tried so hard to stop the Ocean of tears on my cheek, but no way. I searched for the right adjectives to describe you, but you are larger than them all. All I am left with at the moment is to wish you eternal rest.

Lara's journey was one marked by unwavering faith, immense talent, and a profound commitment to spreading the gospel through her soul-winning and heart-warming melodies. Her music was more than just a collection of songs; it was a ministry that reached into the depths of the human spirit, offering solace, hope, and an unshakeable connection to the divine.

From a young age, Omolara's gift for music was evident. Her voice, a beautiful blend of power and grace, carried with it an anointing that could only come from a deep and personal relationship with God. Each note she sang, each lyric she penned, was imbued with a sincerity that moved listeners to tears and inspired countless souls to draw nearer to their Creator.

Throughout her illustrious career, Omolara Olubo's impact was felt far and wide. Her songs became anthems of faith, playing in homes, churches, and hearts across the nation and beyond. She had a unique ability to translate the profound truths of the gospel into melodies that were not only memorable but transformative. Her music crossed boundaries, united believers, and provided a soundtrack for countless spiritual journeys.

Lara's legacy is one of love, devotion, and an unyielding passion for soul-winning. A musician, actress, presenter, fashion designer, and a fashionista. Her life was a testament to creativities, and the power of music as a divine instrument, capable of breaking chains, healing wounds, and bringing people into the loving embrace of God. She had a remarkable gift for making the intangible presence of the Holy Spirit tangible through her artistry.

Beyond her musical talents, Omolara was known for her warmth, humility, and generous spirit. She was a mentor, a friend, and a sister to many. Her life off the stage was as impactful as her performances, as she consistently demonstrated what it meant to live a life of purpose and service.

As we remember Omolara Olubo, we are reminded of the words of Scripture: "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints" (Psalm 116:15). While our hearts ache with the pain of her physical absence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of the One she so passionately sang about. Her music lives on, continuing to inspire, uplift, and draw people to Christ.

Omolara, though you have departed from this earthly realm, your legacy remains, etched in our hearts and in the annals of gospel music history. We are grateful for the time we had with you, for the songs you gave us, and for the love you shared so freely. Rest in the eternal peace and joy of the Lord, dear Omolara. Your voice now joins the heavenly chorus, singing praises to the King of Kings forevermore.

In loving memory, we honor and celebrate you, Omolara Olubo. Your music, your spirit, and your legacy will continue to shine brightly, guiding us all towards the Light you so beautifully illuminated with your life.

In Eternal Remembrance.

Prince Olasunkanmi Adebayo (Joge).
