THE ONDO STATE CIVIL SERVICE REWARDS EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE

THE ONDO STATE CIVIL SERVICE REWARDS EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE.

Pastor Kayode Ogundele
HoS, Ondo State Civil Service

Honesty and kindness are two important values that civil servants should uphold in their work. Civil servants are public employees who serve the citizens and the government, and they have a duty to act with integrity, impartiality, and professionalism. Honesty means being truthful, transparent, and accountable for one's actions and decisions. Kindness means being respectful, compassionate, and helpful to others, especially those who are in need or vulnerable.

Honesty and kindness can benefit the civil service in many ways. For example:

Honesty can enhance the trust and confidence of the public in the government and its policies. When civil servants are honest, they can communicate effectively and accurately with the public, avoid misinformation and corruption, and admit and correct their mistakes.

Kindness can improve the well-being and morale of the civil service workforce. When civil servants are kind, they can foster a positive and supportive work environment, reduce stress, and conflict, and increase collaboration and productivity.

Honesty and kindness can also promote the public interest and social justice. When civil servants are honest and kind, they can respect the diversity and dignity of the people they serve, address their needs and concerns, and protect their rights and welfare.
